I thought it might helpful to upload a few photos of our Frame being constructed.
I want to acknowledge the quality of the work we have seen so far by PD. The quality of the carpentry is excellent given that only the roof trusses were pre-fabricated off-site.
The frame appears to be well supported by additional timber, steel (particularly on the balcony, portico and rear of the house where the large stacker doors are located (we added a side stacker door due to the side yard on our block) and the kitchen window splashback.
The majority of the windows and doors are installed on the ground floor with the first floor remaining. It seems a couple of windows have a crack or a scratch but we are confident our building inspector will pick these up.
I also must say that the site is very clean with little if any scrap material left lying around the yard.
The next step is for the roof tiles to be added (barramundi colour) and the house to be wrapped.
I hope you enjoy some of these photos.
p.s. Porter Davis have changed stone supplier from Essastone (Laminex Group) to Silestone (by Cosentino) who are a Spanish supplier. PD have offered a similar 'like-for-like' stone but they all do vary slightly. This has meant that our benchtops will be slightly different that the Charlton display in Wollert but not much can be done. The good news is that we will be getting a small refund given the new stone is Category 1 rather than Category 2.
